Images

Fandom Track has three main ways it handles images: external, small stored, & large stored

External images are entered as web urls (ex. https://site.com/image.png) and displayed as images using external requests. This allows for images stored on other sites to be referenced without duplicating the storage.

Small stored images, also known as thumbnail images, are resized to fit within 160px square before uploading. These images are stored in our cloud storage making for quick retrieval especially when combined with their small size.

Large stored images are uploaded to our cloud storage in their original size but are limited to a max size of 75MB per file and 50GB total per fandom. Small stored images are used alongside these images for quick display, the large image is only shown when specifically requested to improve performance.

When a paid plan ends small stored images are still preserved, however large stored images will be deleted 30 days after the plan ends. To preserve large stored images, renew the plan or export them. To find large stored images in your fandom, add the image attribute as a filter to a layout.
